What does the ISE 4th Grade and Yosemite National Park have in commom???

A few week's ago our story was "Letters Home from Yosemite". One of the
students' assignments was to create a postcard from Yosemite using their
vocabulary words. They turned out awesome, so I gave the students the option of
allowing me to mail their postcard to Yosemite or to take it home. Thank you to
Angie M. (Josie's mom) for mailing them for us. The nice people
at Yosemite sent us a packet of information about the park, plus a bookmark for
each child. In addition, they sent this nice email with pictures of the
students' postcards.

Grandparents Day and 9/11 Memorial

Many thank you's go out to all the people who volunteered to make Grandparent's Day such a success. A wonderful time was had by all!! The ISE second graders gave their Grandparents an extra special gift by performing a special program that showcased the love and appreciation they have for them.
As the day was ending, the 4th grade performed a 9/11 patriotic program in memory of the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
